Singer-songwriters Mike & Carleen McCornack have been delighting audiences for nearly fifty years with an engaging musical style that blends clear, expressive, harmonious vocals with sparkling acoustic instrumental accompaniments. Their wide-ranging repertoire includes many critically-acclaimed original compositions. They have released nine albums during their career: Possibilities; Live On Earth; Beasties, Bumbershoots & Lullabies; Sunshine Cake; High Hopes; A Road To Call Your Own; Ready For Christmas, Stories We Could Tell, and their most recent, Dream True.
Themes of love, humor, respect for living things and natural beauty fill their performances, and Mike and Carleen have proven equally at home performing for families who know them from their award-winning children’s recordings (Parent’s Choice Gold Award winners and Parent’s Guide Honors!) and for adults who appreciate their musical depth and off-center humor.
Hank Cramer is one of the best-loved folksingers in the American West. He is widely known for his booming bass voice, smooth picking on a vintage flat-top guitar, and his wry sense of humor. He has a repertoire of over a thousand modern and traditional songs, spanning the genres of celtic, appalachian, maritime, cowboy, and plain old folk music. He is more than simply a performer, however. He is a historian and educator who weaves music and history into presentations which bring to life the rich story of America’s westward movement, and give his audiences insight into the “folk process” by which traditional songs evolve and change to describe new events.
Hank’s music has garnered professional recognition in the music industry. He has been selected to receive the Humanities Washington Award for 2011. Heartland Public Radio named his recording of “My Sweet Wyoming Home” to the Top Five Cowboy Songs of 2007. Texas Public Radio “Random Routes” listed two of Hank’s songs in their Top Twenty of 2007, while Northwest Public Radio’s “Inland Folk” chose his CD “Songs From Maurie’s Porch” as one of the Top Ten Folk Albums of 2006.
Based in Salem, Oregon, the folk pop duo Phoenix consists of award winning songwriters Tim and Kathy Crosby, who have been performing together for well over 20 years. Together they have collaborated on several CD's, and are known far and wide for their songwriting abilities and high energy entertainment style.
Tim and Kathy have performed together from Las Vegas to Nashville, in large venues and small. Now being compared to the likes of Willie Nelson, Gillian Welch, and David Rawlings, Phoenix rises in the joy of a sound that highlights the multi-instrumental talents of both musicians while focusing on a variety of vocal styles and abilities.
Performing throughout the Pacific Northwest for the past twenty years, Three Together is loved by audiences for their intricate 3-part harmonies on many songs from 60's and 70's era folk, pop and rock artists such as Crosby, Stills & Nash; Peter, Paul & Mary; The Beatles; the Everly Brothers; and We Five -- "basically, groups that we've grown up with."
